Installation Process
My New Floor offers several different types of installation process that are to meet the needs of every home . Whether installing Carpet, hardwood, Laminate, luxury vinyl or Engineered stone flooring, we use low VOC, non-urea formaldehyde installation materials to ensure that your new flooring is not only great for your home and the environment, but for your family as well.
Staple Down Installation
Available for Hardwood Flooring

1. We check the air humidity (35%-55%), temperature (65F-75F) and wooden sub-floor moisture level of your home. Those measurements will be sent to our climate Control Warehouse manager to make sure your hardwood flooring is acclimated correctly. HVAC must me running for at least 14 days prior to the installation.
2. We check your sub-floor for levelness and squeaking.
3. We install a moisture barrier (15lb felt paper). It slows vapor transfer to protect hardwood flooring, reduces the potential for cupping and warping. It also acts as a cushioning agent reducing minor noise and squeaks.
